Work/Duty: 7 days/week, 8-12h/day - split shifts AM/PM clinics hours Leave notice: 2 weeks
Contract length: 4+/-1 months on 2+/-1 months off Reports to: Doctor Cabin: Single
Main function: Responsible to assist the Doctor and provide medical care for all passengers and crew.
Support the Staff Captain and other shipboard medical personnel in all health-related matters at sea, including illness reporting and outbreak prevention.
To be familiar with the ships standard on board procedures (SOP) and not limited to: Outbreak control plan for Covid19, Influenza and GII.
To assist the Doctor in having periodical trainings for all crew with regards to First aid.
Profile:
Good command of written and spoken English.
- Appropriate nursing qualification
- A minimum of 3 years post-registration work history. Experience in pre-hospital medicine (ie) GP or A&E
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within one year of application, with renewal of certification every two years from a recognized educational institution is required
- Computer literate: Windows System Operation, Word, Excel, MS Outlook, company/on-board apps
- Should have the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel and passengers
- Should be a self-starter, reliable, able to work unsupervised, work in a stressful environment and show flexibility to work in each department.
