Job Summary

A junior officer is responsible for the safety, management, and supervision of a maritime vessel. The role requires personnel to follow all maritime regulations and operate and maintain the ship's systems on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the vessel within the framework of local and international maritime law
• Communicate with senior officers, crew, and other stakeholders to coordinate operations
• Supervise and participate in safety drills and prepare reports as needed
• Observe and monitor the performance of the vessel's equipment and machinery
• Carry out emergency procedures as required

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the maritime industry preferred
• Knowledge of safe vessel navigation and operation
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
• Good communication and organizational skills

Physical Requirements

• Be able to stand and walk for long periods of time in an outdoor environment
• Lift and carry heavy objects
• Work in cramped and confined spaces
• Work in extreme weather conditions
