Job Summary:

We are looking for a Fitter / Welder to join our team and perform maintenance and repair work related to our ships. In this role, you will be responsible for performing welding and fitting tasks to keep our vessels in optimal working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing welding on various different mechanical components;

Performing light fabrication of metal components such as plates, beams, and frames;

Assembling components into subassemblies and other structures;

Inspecting and testing workpieces to ensure quality;

Maintaining a clean and safe work environment;

Qualifications:

A minimum of experience in fitting and welding on tankers;

Strong knowledge of various welding techniques and processes;

Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures;

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings;

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 30kgs;

Standing and working in awkward positions for extended periods of time;

Excellent hand-eye coordination;

Preferably an age limit of up to 60 years.
