Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Deck Cadet to join the Maritime Industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the ship’s deck team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting bridge officers with navigation duties
• Carrying out watchkeeping duties
• Assist in ship maintenance and security
• Adhere to safety standards and regulations
• Assist in the mooring and unmooring of the ship
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Maritime certification
• Basic knowledge of maritime rules and regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Motivation to learn and take on tasks
• Ability to work in a team environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs
