Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable AB Seaman to join our team. The AB Seaman will be responsible for assisting with ship operations, maintenance work and other duties under the direction of the ships' superior officers. This role requires significant physical strength, as well as a deep understanding of ship operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with ship navigation with the supervision of the ship's officers.
• Perform routine maintenance on vessel's hull, decks, and superstructures.
• Handle lines to moor vessels to wharfs, tie up vessels to other vessels, or rig towing lines.
• Operate lifeboats, ship's equipment and machinery as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with a focus on maritime studies.
• Valid Seaman's Certificate as per STCW regulations.
• Minimum two years in a seafaring role.
• Strong understanding of maritime safety procedures.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to work in adverse weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand on feet for extended periods.
• Able to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous physical labor.
• Able to work in harsh weather conditions.
• Must pass a physical examination.
