Job Summary

We are on the lookout for a second officer to join our dynamic team. The incumbent will play a crucial role in carrying out technical operations, ensuring safety compliance, and communicating effectively with all team members. They will also contribute significantly to navigation and reporting tasks and are required to have a reliable understanding of all maritime laws and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Officer in conducting daily technical operations.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain the safety of the crew and the vessel.
• Engage in competent navigation activities and prepare accurate reports.
• Ensure efficient communication among crew members and officers.
• Stay updated with maritime regulations and apply them as necessary.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies or related field.
• Relevant license or certification of competency.
• Excellent communication skills and strong leadership abilities.
• Deep understanding of maritime regulations, safety laws, and operational procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Must be physically fit and able to work in varying climatic conditions.
• Must have good stamina to handle long periods of standing and moving around the ship.
• Should have excellent vision and hearing, either naturally or with corrective lenses or hearing aids.
• Needs to be capable of performing manual labor like lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects when necessary.
